Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and StreamShield VPN. They cover what you get, what you owe, what you may not do with the connection, and what happens when something goes wrong.

EFFECTIVE AUGUST 5, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

By creating an account, buying a plan, or using the StreamShield VPN service or applications, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Our Privacy Policy is part of this agreement and explains what we record and what we do not.

2. Definitions

  • Service — the StreamShield VPN network, the website, the management panel, and the client applications.
  • Account — the credentials and plan issued to you, whether by us directly or by a reseller.
  • Reseller — an independent business authorised to sell access to the Service under its own branding.
  • Plan — the term and simultaneous-connection allowance you purchased.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for making sure that using a VPN is lawful where you are. Some countries restrict or prohibit VPN use; we do not advise on local law, and using the Service where it is prohibited is at your own risk.

4. Your account

You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your password, activation PIN, configuration files, and certificates confidential — anyone holding them can use your plan. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

Give accurate account information and keep it current. We may suspend an account where the information given is false, or where an email address we rely on for notices proves undeliverable.

Configuration files and certificates are issued for your use only. Do not publish, sell, or distribute them.

5. Plans and connection limits

Each plan allows a fixed number of simultaneous connections. You may install the client on as many devices as you like; the limit is on how many connect at the same time.

The limit is enforced strictly. If you exceed your allowance, the oldest active session is disconnected automatically to make room for the new one. This is by design and is not a fault. If you are being disconnected unexpectedly, you are likely at your connection limit — upgrade your plan or disconnect a device.

Server locations, capacity, and the server list may change. We do not guarantee that any particular server, city, or country will remain available for the life of your plan.

6. Billing, renewal, and price changes

Payment

Plans are charged in advance for the full term you selected. Prices are shown at checkout and are exclusive of any taxes that may apply to you, which are your responsibility unless we state otherwise.

Automatic renewal

Subscription plans renew automatically at the end of each term at the then-current price, using the payment method on file, until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the term you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate partial terms.

Price changes

We may change prices. A change never affects a term you have already paid for, and we will give notice before a renewal is charged at a new price.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we may suspend the account until payment succeeds, and may terminate it if payment is not made within a reasonable period.

7. Refunds

  • New retail subscriptions purchased directly from us may be refunded in full if you request it within 7 days of the first purchase on that account and have not used the Service abusively. Email [email protected] to request one.
  • Renewals are not refundable. Cancel before the renewal date if you do not want to be charged again.
  • Accounts bought from a reseller are refunded by that reseller under their own policy, not by us.
  • Reseller credit and bulk accounts purchased by invoice are not refundable once issued, except where required by law.
  • Application build orders that fail for reasons on our side are retried at no cost; if the permitted retries are exhausted without a successful build, the order is refunded.
  • Accounts terminated for breach of the Acceptable Use Policy are not refunded.

Nothing here removes any statutory refund or cancellation right you have under consumer law in your country.

8. Acceptable Use Policy

Privacy is not a shield for harming other people. You may not use the Service — or allow anyone else to use your account — to:

  • Break any law that applies to you, or help anyone else do so.
  • Send spam, bulk unsolicited email or messages, or run phishing, scam, or fraud operations.
  • Attack or interfere with any network, host, or service — including port scanning, intrusion attempts, credential stuffing, brute forcing, denial-of-service or amplification attacks, or operating botnet command-and-control.
  • Distribute malware, ransomware, or tools whose main purpose is unauthorised access to systems.
  • Produce, store, or distribute child sexual abuse material. Accounts are terminated immediately and reported.
  • Infringe copyright, trade marks, or other intellectual property — see Section 9.
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, defame, or incite violence against anyone.
  • Evade a ban, defeat rate limits or security controls on a third-party service, or commit click fraud or ad fraud.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service, unless you are an authorised reseller under Section 12.
  • Share one account across unrelated people or businesses, or attempt to defeat the simultaneous-connection limit.
  • Place a load on the network that degrades it for other customers, or use the Service to operate a public proxy, exit node, or open relay.

Report abuse originating from our network to [email protected]. Include timestamps with time zone and the IP address involved; without those we usually cannot act on a report.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section, with or without notice depending on severity, and without refund.

10. Streaming services

The Service is optimised for streaming, but we do not promise that any particular streaming platform, channel, or title will work through the VPN, at any given time or from any given location. Streaming providers actively block VPN traffic and change their methods without notice.

Using a VPN with a streaming service may breach that service’s own terms, and responsibility for that is yours. We do not encourage or assist in violating any third-party agreement, and inability to reach a specific streaming service is not grounds for a refund outside the window in Section 7.

11. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service available, but we do not offer an uptime guarantee on retail plans. Maintenance, hardware failure, upstream network problems, and blocking by third parties can all interrupt service.

We may add, change, or withdraw features, servers, and locations. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and refund the unused portion of any term you have paid for.

12. Resellers

These clauses apply if you hold a reseller account.

  • You are an independent business. Nothing here creates a partnership, employment, agency, or franchise relationship, and you may not make commitments on our behalf.
  • You are responsible for your own customers: their sales, support, billing, refunds, and data. Your customers are your contractual counterparties, not ours.
  • You must impose terms on your customers at least as protective as these, including the Acceptable Use Policy, and a privacy notice that accurately describes the data handling in our Privacy Policy.
  • Credit is purchased in advance, is non-refundable and non-transferable, has no cash value, and may only be used to provision accounts on the Service.
  • You are responsible for abuse originating from accounts you create. Persistent abuse from your customer base may result in suspension of your reseller account.
  • Where you distribute a branded application, you are responsible for your own brand assets and for having the rights to use them, for your listing and its compliance with the app store’s rules, and for the accuracy of what you claim about the Service. You may not claim capabilities the Service does not have — including any promise that no connection metadata is retained.
  • We grant you a non-exclusive, revocable licence to use our names and marks solely to market the Service during the term. It ends when your reseller account ends.

13. Software licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use our client applications and configuration files for the term of your plan. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works from our software, except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable where you live or the component is covered by an open-source licence that grants you those rights.

The Service is built on OpenVPN and other open-source components, which remain governed by their own licences.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if payment fails, if we are required to by law, or if your use threatens the security or stability of the network.

On termination your access ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive — payment obligations, acceptable use, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — survive termination.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every threat, that it will reach any particular website or streaming platform, or that it will make you anonymous. A VPN protects the connection between your device and our servers. It does not protect you from malware, from account-based tracking, from browser fingerprinting, or from information you choose to disclose.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Service.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that is the case, these limits apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of the rights of anyone else. If you are a reseller, this includes claims brought by your own customers.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top reflects the current version. For material changes we will give notice by email to account holders who have provided an address, or by a notice in the panel, before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the revised terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the Service and cancel.

19. General

  • Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts located in New York have exclusive jurisdiction — except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
  • Informal resolution first. Before starting proceedings, contact [email protected] and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute.
  • Severability. If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
  • No waiver. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment. You may not assign this agreement without our consent. We may assign it in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
